Mr. Duperreault is a Bermuda-born American executive in the insurance industry. Brian is the executive chairman of the Board of Directors of Mereo Insurance Limited. Before joining Mereo, Duperreault was the executive chairman of American International Group (AIG) and was CEO starting in 2017. Prior to that, he was chairman and CEO of Hamilton Insurance Group. He also served as president and chief executive officer of Marsh & McLennan Companies and ACE Limited (now Chubb). Prior to joining ACE, Duperreault held various senior executive positions with AIG and its affiliates. Duperreault is a member of the Boards of the Geneva Association, Saint Joseph’s University, the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS) and the Partnership for New York City. He is a former director of Johnson Controls, the former chairman of the Board of Overseers of the School of Risk Management of St. John’s University, New York, and chairman emeritus of Blue Marble Microinsurance. Duperreault earned his bachelor’s in mathematics from Saint Joseph’s University.

David is an industry veteran with nearly 40 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance markets. Before Mereo, he was CEO of AEGIS London, one of the most successful Lloyd’s managing agencies of the past 15 years; a consistent top quartile performer in the market with an unbroken track record for delivering strong financial and underwriting results. Under his leadership AEGIS London doubled in size and profitability whilst enhancing its profile and brand as one of the most respected businesses in the Global Specialty Insurance Market. Before becoming CEO, David served as AEGIS London’s Chief Underwriting Officer from 2006 to 2015. As CUO, David redesigned the underwriting model to deliver low volatility and a high-performance risk portfolio. Prior to that, Croom Johnson served as Head of Casualty and grew income from $10m to nearly $40m over his six-year tenure. Before that, David held a few roles at Janson Green Managing Agency.

Prior to Mereo, Mr. Minicone served as the Head of Research at Tekmerion Capital Partners, a systematic global macro hedge fund. Before that, Lawrence served as Director of Cross Commodities at Castleton Commodities International (formerly Louis Dreyfus Highbridge). At Castleton, Lawrence was responsible for the deployment of capital across a broad range of liquid assets in both outright and relative value strategies. Prior to CCI, Lawrence was an investment professional at Bridgewater Associates. He was a regular author and contributor to the highly regarded Bridgewater Daily Observations and was responsible for a suite of real-time estimates that served as the primary inputs into Bridgewater’s systematic strategies. He studied at Haverford College and the London School of Economics.

Mr. Strong has had a career spanning both the capital markets and the (re)insurance segments. Neil was most recently the CEO of IQUW ILS Ltd, having joined from Securis Investment Partners where he was a Senior Partner and Global Head of Origination for Life and Non-Life. His responsibilities included establishing and managing the Bermuda Office. Prior to Securis, Neil was the founding partner of the insurance products platform at Execution Noble; where he led equity research, equity capital markets, sales, corporate access and a reinsurance broker; before the firm was acquired by Espírito Santo. Neil started his (re)insurance career at AON and Willis Towers Watson. Neil currently advises and sits on the Investment Committee of the Natural Disaster Fund, an entity backed by the UK and German governments providing parametric insurance and reinsurance solutions to developing nations, communities and economies.

Richard is an industry veteran with nearly 25 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance markets. Before Mereo, he was CUO of Fidelis Insurance Bermuda and Global CEO of Reinsurance and Capital Management. He was a member of the Global Group Executive team and was responsible for the management of 350 global employees. He served as a Board Director for Fidelis Insurance Bermuda Ltd and, across his seats, managed $2.9b of group income. Before serving as CUO Bermuda he was the Head of North America (Re)Insurance. Prior to Fidelis he was a Leading Class reinsurance underwriter and North American Treaty underwriter at Amlin. Before Amlin, Richard held a number of underwriting roles at Wellington Underwriting PLC.

Derek is a business executive with over 25 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry for both public and private companies. Most recently, he was COO, General Counsel and Co-Founder of Acacia Holdings, a Bermuda based investment business specializing in insurance linked securities, focusing on investing collateral for reinsurance contracts. Prior to Acacia, Derek was General Counsel and Executive member of the JLT Group plc where he had a leading role in the $6 billion sale of JLT to Marsh McLennan in 2018. Prior to JLT, he was General Counsel, Executive member and Global Brokers Relationship Director for the RSA Insurance Group plc. Prior to RSA, Derek was General Counsel and Executive member of the Benfield Group plc (now part of Aon). He has also previously served as a Board Director of insurance companies Codan A/S and Codan Forisking in Denmark. Derek has won industry awards and recognition in his roles and is a regular speaker at industry events.

Federico is a seasoned (re)insurance professional with more than 30 years of experience. He recently served as Head of Underwriting Management at IQUW. At IQUW, he led the portfolio optimization, pricing, exposure management and underwriting support divisions. Before that, he was at Ariel Re as an SVP and Head of Analytics. Prior to Ariel Re, Federico worked at Goldman Sachs in Strategies. Before his time at GS, Mr. Waisman was the Chief Risk Officer and Senior Vice President of Arrow Capital. Prior to this he was at Swiss Re in the Natural Catastrophe Perils Unit based in Armonk, NY leaving as Head of Vulnerability. Before that, Federico worked for EQE International/EQECAT (now CoreLogic) performing risk consulting and model development of their commercial software division. Federico holds Ph.D. and Master degrees in Structural Engineering from Cornell University and Structural Engineer degree from Universidad de Belgrano, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Federico has been actively speaking at industry conferences throughout his career and served as Board member for the International Society of Catastrophe Managers (ISCM) and in the Managing Committee of ClimateWise.

Jonathan is the interim CFO of Mereo and is a Managing Director at Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) and has 32 years dedicated to the Insurance Industry. At SRS he focuses on the commercial re/insurance sector and is responsible for overall leadership of SRS Bermuda. After joining SRS in 2020, he served as CEO of Concert Group, an insurance fronting business launched with backing from SRS. Jonathan transitioned from Concert at the end of 2022.

Jonathan serves as a director for certain clients of SRS, including various companies of Steamship Mutual, a leading P&I Club insuring the global shipping industry.

Prior to SRS, Jonathan was part of the founding management team at Hamilton Insurance Group and served as President Strategic Partnerships as well as Group Chief Financial Officer. Previously, Jonathan was the Leader of EY’s Insurance practice for Bermuda, Bahamas, and Cayman. He had been with EY, in Bermuda and New York, for 19 years and had been a Partner for 12 years.
